About Us

Teaching Therapies has been providing the West Essex area with holistic treatments and spiritual courses for over seven years. Being run by Partners David Whipps & Glen Barker, Teaching Therapies can offer a personal yet professional approach to all your spiritual needs.

From an early age, Glen knew that he was privileged to possess a gift which allowed him to communicate with spirit. During his younger years, he communicated often with a spirit called "Kim" who used to manifest to Glen by means of spiritual writing, and symbols appearing in his bedroom in Woodford Green. As he grew up, Glen fulfilled his ambition and trained to become a teacher, which is still a passion for him.

Glen developed his spirit communication via the medium of Tarot cards and courses at the Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, and soon realised that spirit were able to talk to him, and enable him to pass on clear and accurate messages from the spirit world.

Glen continues to teach at a school, and uses his experience to provide informative, and fun courses for Teaching Therapies covering many aspect of spirituality.

David has been actively involved with the world of Spirit for over 11 years. After joining his first development circle in Camberley, Surrey his desire to learn and grow has continued to this present day.

David initially trained as a Microsoft trainer for
a large insurance company in the city, but soon
realised that his calling lay elsewhere. When he
moved to Essex from Surrey in 2001 he joined
another development group and then took
courses in Holistic Therapies including Reiki,
Spiritual Healing and Regression Therapies.

David communicates with spirit via his guide Uni. Working closely with such a high energy gives David a unique ability to understand and teach higher spiritual lessons to members of the development circles Teaching Therapies run.

Although deeply committed to teaching Reiki & providing Reiki treatments in the traditional Japanese method, by being able to blend with his spirit guides higher energies, David is able to provide powerful and effective treatments.

In March 2007, David & Glen became official Civil Partners, and followed this with a spiritual Hand Fasting Ceremony which was held in Florida in October 2007, both cementing their physical and spiritual unity.
