Reiki Courses
At Teaching Therapies, we offer training courses in Reiki for up to 4 people at a time. We teach the Japanese form of Usui Reiki, and keep our teaching as traditional as possible.
Reiki was formulated in Japan in the early 1900's by Mikao Usui. He wanted to create a technique which kept some Japanese values, and also allowed people to pass on good channelled energy.
Initially Reiki did not have a name, it was called Usui's system, but as the system developed, it was realised that Universal (Rei) Energy (Ki) was being channelled and passed on, which proved beneficial to the person receiving this energy.
Usui set up a system whereby someone who trained in Reiki, and lived their
life understanding and working with the Universal Energy, could then teach
others the system. This is very traditional in Japan, with many
Martial Arts
being taught from Master to Student.
To
reach Mastership level you need to undertake three levels of Reiki,
The 1st being a self cleansing method, the 2nd being practitioner, and the
3rd being your Mastership level.
At Teaching Therapies, we believe in full support and back up is essential to all our Reiki Students. In many cases where Reiki has become truly Westernised, people can be taught Reiki to any level and then be left alone, not knowing where to turn to for support and help.
With Teaching Therapies, we ensure that we stay contactable by all our students what ever level they have trained to, and also run regular Reiki Share Groups where old and new students can come and practice giving treatments, also share any stories or concerns they may have, and also receive an empowerment.
